Panel Discussion on Social Entrepreneurship – Yale University (April 11, 2013)

On Thursday, April 11, 2013, starting at 7 PM, Dr. Zachary D. Kaufman, editor of Social Entrepreneurship in the Age of Atrocities, will speak at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. The event, “Era of Social Entrepreneurship: Harnessing Business for Social Change,” will also feature:

• Kate Emery: Founder and CEO of reSET (Social Enterprise Trust) (a non-profit organization that promotes and supports social entrepreneurship in Connecticut while advocating state policy reform) and CEO of The Walker Group, an information technology (IT) company that she transitioned into a social enterprise.
• Sejal Hathi: Yale College senior named one of Forbes’ top 30 social entrepreneurs under 30. Founded Girls Helping Girls (a non-profit organization that has helped over 30,000 girls in 22 countries create social change in their communities) and girltank (a non-profit organization that supports young women social entrepreneurs). Co-founded S2 Capital (a social enterprise venture fund).

The event, which will be held in room 101 of Linsley-Chittenden Hall of Yale University, will be sponsored by the Yale Social Enterprise Club.

The event is free and open to the public.
