Book Talk – University of Maryland (October 31, 2013)

On Thursday, October 31, 2013, Dr. Zachary D. Kaufman, editor of Social Entrepreneurship in the Age of Atrocities, will speak at the University of Maryland as part of its Peacebuilding Practice, Innovation & Entrepreneurship (PEACE-PIE) program. During Dr. Kaufman’s visit, which is supported by a grant from the United States Institute of Peace, he will:

• meet with faculty, staff, and students from the Center for International Development and Conflict Management, the Robert H. Smith School of Business’s Center for Social Value Creation, the School of Public Policy, the Center for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Leadership, the Office of International Affairs, the Academy for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and other components of the University;
• deliver a lecture entitled “Sustainable Social Entrepreneurship: A Framework for Fundraising”;
• run two clinics on fundraising strategies; and
• participate in a networking event.
