Anthea Zervos

Anthea Zervos is a founding member and was the longest-serving director of the National Vision for Sierra Leone (NVSL). Ms. Zervos has worked on a number of rule of law and justice initiatives in post-conflict West Africa since 2003. These include the NVSL project with the Sierra Leone Truth and Reconciliation Commission, the Outreach Section of the Liberia Truth and Reconciliation Commission, and the Labor Law Reform initiative with the Liberia Ministry of Labor. From October 2009 through December 2011, Ms. Zervos worked with the American Bar Association Rule of Law Initiative in Liberia in the position of Program Manager for the initiative’s program focusing on reducing prolonged pre-trial detention in Monrovia Central Prison. Ms. Zervos is originally from Athens, Greece. She completed her Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Theater at Skidmore College in 2002, and her M.Sc. degree in Violence, Conflict, and Development at the University of London’s School of Oriental and African Studies in 2007.
